Come get your sheepish smiles on at our top show of the year!
There will be a lot of new Sheep Incognito Art Flock paintings to take home with you, a whole barnload of prints and canvas reproductions, and the new book “Baaahnaby’s Woolly Bad Day” will be there for in-person signing by the author/illustrator as well.
This year we have the collector’s mug “Bored Meeting” available on pre-order/ direct shipping on the website (in previous years we brought stacks of them along - oh, SO much schlepping for everybody involved…this simplifies things for sure) . It will ship directly from our printing partner to your home - so you can meet it when you get back from the festival. It’s the perfect accessory to sip your tea from, while unpacking all your stash haul from the festival.

And of course, the Sheep Incognito flock will be there again to bring smiles, happy sheep, and some silly allegories packed in woolly wrappings!

Admission Fee

  • 18 and older:

    • $12.50 per person per day when purchased online

    • $15.00 per person per day at the gate

  • Under 18 free

Ticket Sales

  • Online-https://mswf2024.eventbrite.com/. A $2.61 processing fee applies. There will be separate lanes to have eTickets scanned, which we anticipate will move faster than the lanes for people paying at the gate.

  • At the gate-cash or check only. Exact change appreciated. There will be a dedicated exact change lane.

Hours

  • Gates open at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. NO EARLY ADMISSION.

  • Gates open at 7:00 a.m. Sunday to accommodate Breakfast Buffet attendees.

  • Vendors open at 8:30 a.m. both days.

Meet the Authorevents in the Main Exhibition Annex: Several childrens’ book authors will be holding storytimes, and there will even be a session of chair yoga with Liza Laird, author of Yoga of Yarn.

Free Fiber Arts Lectures: Join the Chesapeake Fibershed on Saturday at 1:15 p.m. in the rear of the Main Exhibition Annex for Mend. Make. Do.”, a presentation on why mending matters and a demonstration of mending techniques to help you repair and prolong the life of your clothing, then come to the 4-H Hall on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. to hear Diana Buck speak about the Role of Women in the Viking Age.

New time and location for the auction of shawlsfrom theSheep-to-Shawl Competition: Visit the Show Ring at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday to bid on these beauties.

Special guests Njörðr’s Wanderers will be joining us again, but will be in a new location, the Breed Display Barn.

Don’t forget our Picnic Area in the Rabbit Barn, where we now have picnic tables in case you need to stop and rest!”

The Sheep Incognito booth will be right outside the field where the games are held. Come hang out with us to watch some caber tossing, sheath launching, and dance to the bagpipes.

6:30pm – World’s Greatest Scottish Happy Hour and Celtic Jam with Albannach, Syr & Celtica Nova

Heavy Athletics – All day on the Main Field

Piping/Drumming Competitions – All day around Cherrydale Mansion

Border Collie Demonstrations – 10:00am, 1:00pm & 2:30pm

Celtic Music – Main Stage starting at 10:00am with Albannach, Syr and Celtica Nova.

British Car Show – outside Main Gate from 9:30am to 3pm. The featured manufacturer is MG.
