Custom Pet Face Portrait Painting
Custom Pet Face Portrait Painting
Using your own photos as a reference, I will create a full-body portrait of your pet.
Because I will be using multiple photos you provide via a shared Dropbox folder, I can create that perfect studio look, without having to put you or your pet through hours of trying to arrange them into that setting.
The portrait will be painted in ProCreate, using custom brushes and textures.
If you give me a little information on which direction you want the portrait to go, that will help: not every dog is a little flower girl, not every cat is a little sweetie. Some are diggers, others are little stinkers- capturing that perfect look and personality is the fun part!
Their favorite toy, or colors/patterns from your surroundings, etc. can be incorporated into the painting.
If this is a memorial painting, and you only have a few photos to send, I can try to make it work anyway, and the final portrait can have a butterfly on the dog’s ear, for example.
For best results, we need decent photos:
• Taking photos from above your pet makes their head REALLY big, and their feet REALLY small.
• face photos from front or 3/4 view, slightly below their eye-level will look best.
• multiple photos of them sitting, or laying, if possible from the same front/or 3/4 view.
• take pictures in natural light, if you can, it will help me get their coloring right.
• a close-up of their nametag.
Keep in mind that portraits look most striking when they are close to life-size - so if you have a big Saint Bernard, you might want to go with a bigger canvas to ensure that he looks as striking as he is. If cost is a factor, you might want to opt for just a face portrait instead.
And, if you have a teacup yorkie, going huge with the canvas size will make your little cutie look like a big, scary thing…just something to keep in mind.
Once you have placed your order, I will email you a link where you can upload at least 5 photos of your pet that I will use for reference to create the painting.
Timeframe:
Generally, I can have your portrait ready to go to print in about 3-5 weeks.
Produced on archival canvas.
Varnished with UV-protectant to protect against dust and light scuffs.
Archival, lightfast materials warranted to stay vibrant and fresh for a minimum of 75 years.
